Job Overview :
The Director of Sales will be responsible for supervising and organizing Folino Estate Wineries' sales team. You will oversee the management of organizational sales by developing business plans, meeting planned goals, and coordinating with management. You will also be tasked with overseeing the activities and performance of your sales team by tracking sales goals, setting individual sales targets, facilitating ongoing training, at times out in the field side by side selling with team members, and creating and monitoring sales dashboards.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or related field preferred.
- 5-10 years of sales / sales management experience
- Excellent people skills with proven record of building high performing sales teams
- Strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills required, with the ability to build credibility and collaborate with team members at all levels of the organization
- Excellent organizational and critical thinking skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects in a dead-line driven environment.

Sales and Growth :
Drive the development and implementation of sales strategies for Folino Estate Winery and Vintner's TableManage the overall sales process, develop and implement appropriate metrics and implements a consistent and manageable reporting process.Collaborates with owners and GM to develop initial sales goals for Folino Estates
Create budgets and sales goals in collaboration with managers for each sales area based...initial focus will be on event sales and wholesale wine.Collaborate and communicate with managers and sales teams for each department to assure sales efforts are leveraged across the businessDevelops and manages an on-going sales dashboard that is used for reporting on a monthly basis with management and salesDevelops a strong results-oriented sales team (see team development) sales teCommunicate and regularly meet with the Marketing Department to collaborate on marketing opportunities and to leverage marketing communication.Monitors competitor products, and sales activities and makes recommendations to maintain product offerings at or above competitor's offerings.
Analyzes sales data and makes recommendations for product or service enhancements that would drive sales and better meet customer needs.Nurtures key customer / partner relationships :Maintain key customer relationships and develop and implement strategies for expanding the company's customer base.
Develop and manage channel and partner strategies and programs.Promote Folino Estate and products by assuring the sales team is actively participating in community business and networking events.Team Management :
Defines the appropriate sales organization required to leverage sales opportunities across Folino Estates departmentsManage the hiring, on-boarding and training and development of needed positionsEnsures staff training programs are implemented and measured regularlyEstablish compensation and sales incentive programs commensurate with achieving company goalsConducts regulars staff meetings with all sales teams and department managers ensuring strong and consistent communication and consistent sales processes implementation across the business.Work collaboratively with staff to create a results-driven, team-oriented environmentAdministrative :
Create and maintain SOPs around all functions of the sales department.Timely responses via email or phone communication in all aspects with clients and Folino Estate staff.Checking data accuracy in orders and invoices submitted to the accounting department.Recommend and administer policies and procedures to enhance operations.Assures accurate accounting of bonus and commission structure.Key Performance Indicators :
