Labor and Delivery Clinical Nurse Coordinator
Full-Time – Nights – Rotating Weekends (Every Other Weekend)

Job Summary and Responsibilities:
The Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) plays a crucial role in delivering high-quality care and coordinating all unit functions during the designated shift. In collaboration with the management team, the CNC directs, monitors, and evaluates nursing care while serving as a resource for staff. This role also supports the organization's mission and values, ensuring an unparalleled patient experience and clinical outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient patient flow and high-quality care.
- Continuously assess and improve the quality of patient care services.
- Foster a collaborative environment that enhances patient outcomes and service excellence.
- Promote a patient-first philosophy and engage in service recovery when needed.
- Implement nursing strategies to enhance staff engagement, including employee rounding and hourly patient rounds.
- Provide recommendations and participate in hiring, training, and developing new staff members.
- Assist with scheduling and manage staff labor in alignment with patient care needs and productivity guidelines.
- Support proper inventory control and oversee the management of supplies and equipment.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Licensure & Certification:
- Registered Nurse (RN) License.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) within 30 days of hire.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within 1 year of hire.
- Education: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; BSN preferred.
- Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery RN experience required.
- Any length of previous leadership experience in Women's Services, L&D, NICU, or Mother-Baby Units required.
- Must be comfortable and capable of delivering babies and scrubbing in the OR as needed.
- Experience in charge nurse or assistant nurse manager roles preferred.
Additional Role Expectations:
- Serve as the go-to leader for staffing needs during overnight shifts.
- Support the team in labor and delivery procedures, including OR support when necessary.
- Ensure efficient team coordination to maintain high standards of patient care.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Hourly Rate: $30.75 - $46.15 (Based on years of experience).
- Shift Differentials:
- Nights: $3.50
- Weekends: $6.00
