What are the responsibilities and job description for the Seasonal Golf Course Grounds Worker- FT and PT position at Fond du Lac County, WI?
Full and Part Time Seasonal Golf Course Maintenance positions open for the 2025 golf season. We hire full time and part time positions between 15 and 40 hours per week. Typical Works hours are:
- Full Time - 5/5:30AM to 1:30/2:00PM Weekdays and 5:00AM to 9:00AM Weekends
- Part Time 5/5:30AM to 9-11AM Weekdays and 5:00AM to 9:00AM Weekends
Candidates can expect to perform manual labor involving the maintenance, construction and repair of a golf course:
- Operate small and large mowers, tractors, and other maintenance vehicles and equipment.
- Utilize a variety of hand and power tools in landscape maintenance work.
- Operate small equipment such as weed eaters and push mowers; assists in routine maintenance of such equipment.
- Clean equipment and buildings and pick up litter around courses.
- Water, mow, weed trim, renovate and fertilize lawns; prune trees and shrubs; plants trees, flowers and shrubs; rake leaves and cleans up debris.
- Sand bunker raking, smoothing, edging and general maintenance.
- Other duties as assigned to maintain a golf course and related equipment and buildings.
Candidates should be able to:
- Communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers, supervisors and the public customers.
- Work independently and in a team environment.
- Stand, walk, bend, squat, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, push/pull and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Withstand exposure to favorable and unfavorable weather conditions.
- Candidates must be 16 years old to operate power equipment.
