What are the responsibilities and job description for the Seasonal Parks Caretaker position at Fond du Lac County, WI?
JOB SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for executing and performing weekend janitorial duties for the Fond du Lac County Parks Department.
This position directly reports to the Parks Supervisor.
JOB DUTIES:
- General cleaning of park restrooms and grounds, keeping them maintained and in good condition.
- Empty waste and recycle bins and take other trash and litter to disposal areas.
- Clean floors by sweeping, and mopping.
- Sanitize restrooms and fill dispensers.
- Clean and polish fixtures as needed.
- Spot clean partitions, windows and mirrors.
- Mix cleaning solutions according to specifications.
- Complete tasks in a timely manner with minimal supervision.
- Keep cleaning supplies in stock.
- Have the ability to interact positively and constructively with the general public.
- Perform other duties and tasks as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Valid Wisconsin driver’s license and automobile insurance.
- Have excellent attention to detail
- Ability to show judgment and to work independently
WORKING CONDITIONS/ PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Subject to fumes or disagreeable odors.
- Subject to exposure to inclement weather conditions.
- Subject to working in wet, dirty, dusty, hot, humid, and/or cold conditions.
- Frequent contact with the public; must be able to effectively communicate verbally and demonstrate good customer relations.
