This position is part of the Substance Use Disorder (SUD) clinical treatment team within Fond du Lac County Human Services. A Certified Peer Recovery Specialist is a person in recovery from a behavioral health condition (substance use, mental health, or co-occurring) who has undergone proper training and experience to work in a peer support provider role who provides mentoring, advocating, and support/motivation others who are experiencing challenges.

  • Assists potential clients through intake, referrals, and linkage to outside programming.
  • Transports clients to meetings, court hearings, appointments, and/or activities that are supportive of recovery needs.
  • Assists individuals in treatment to identify interests, goals, strengths, and weaknesses regarding recovery.
  • Participates in community prevention activities.
  • Provides support to drug court participants and clients engaged in IOP.
  • Advocates for the best interest of the client.
  • Identify emergency or crisis situations and facilitate access to appropriate resources.
  • Maintain confidentially regarding client information.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.86 - $26.28 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
