What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cannabis Dispensary Manager position at Fond du Lac Reservation?
- Responsibilities: Provides management of the daily operations of the cannabis dispensary, including sales, customer service, marketing, inventory management, financial records, compliance, and security.
- Due to changes and modifications in the job from time to time, employees are required to be flexible and assume other responsibilities assigned by management as deemed necessary.
Provide excellent customer service and positive experience for customers. Train all dispensary staff to provide excellent customer experience.
Coordinate and facilitate all the dispensary’s transactions and operations.
Manages, evaluates, and disciplines dispensary staff; fulfills staffing needs and coordinates employee scheduling; recruits, trains, retains, and supports quality staff.
Oversee product procurement and negotiations with wholesalers to always ensure adequate inventory
Responsible for achieving all the dispensary’ business goals and objectives.
Responsible for ensuring operational compliance with all applicable policies, laws, and regulations.
Ensure ongoing staff education on cannabis products, strains, and consumption methods
Provides weekly inventory and operational reports.
Ensures compliance with cash handling procedures.
Appropriate work attire is required.
Must attend all mandatory department trainings.
Ensures confidentiality of financial records and all records for employees, band members and/or clients.
Displays a responsive and professional manner in promptly responding to all requests, complaints, and problems.
Recognizes that each employee is a representative of the Fond du Lac Band of Lake Superior Chippewa and is responsible for demonstrating courtesy, respect, and sensitivity to the needs of all others, including visitors and co-workers.
Represents the Fond du Lac Band of Lake Superior Chippewa and the department in a positive and professional manner in the community.
Required to maintain proper attendance including reporting to work on time in accordance with applicable policies.
Maintains a clean and organized work area.
- Qualifications: No Driver’s License Required.
- Ability to work in-store and office with fluorescent and other lighting exposure.
High school diploma or equivalent is required.
Three years of retail experience with one year of retail management experience is required.
Comprehensive knowledge of cannabis products, strains, and consumption methods is required; experience in the regulated cannabis industry is preferred.
Must complete Dutchie Growing Together Retail Onboarding, Implementation and Onboarding, and General Manager Track trainings during probationary period.
Must complete Metrc Training and Certification, with a score of no less than 75%, during the probationary period and on an annual basis.
Must possess strong business management, analytical, and organizational skills.
Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing is required.
The ability to work independently and establish priorities is required.
Attention to detail and accuracy is required.
Ability to establish professional and harmonious working relationships on all projects and with all parties involved.
Subject to drug and alcohol testing in accordance with the Fond du Lac Employment Handbook.
Subject to pre-employment and annual background checks.
Some travel may be required.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Bending, stooping, lifting, and carrying up to 45 pounds.
Walking, standing, climbing, pushing and pulling are required
