What are the responsibilities and job description for the Executive Casino Host position at Fond du Lac Reservation?
- Responsibilities: · Acts as a resource to guests and employees. Spending the majority of their time on the gaming floor, assisting with special events and advising guests while maintaining a working knowledge of Fond-du-Luth facility and promotions.
· Promotes the success of the Player's Club, by explaining the benefits to guests, supporting enrollment goals, issuing Players Club cards and demonstrating the various methods of use.
· Observe, track, and review play within the player tracking system related to new enrollment and assigned lists.
· Work closely with gaming departments to assist with all players’ needs and development.
· Observes special events in the lives of our guests, by preparing and mailing birthday and/or anniversary cards, newsletters, and personal notes, whenever possible.
· Records information on new guests and upgrades computer files daily.
· Compiles guest feedback, informing management of findings on a weekly basis.
· Will be on call and be able to work a fluctuating schedule to meet Department, Casino and guest needs.
· Responsible for development of new players through enrollments, tracking and follow-up.
· Responsible for maintaining and increasing activity of assigned players list.
· Knowledge of computer applications to include word processing, data bases and/ or data entry, spreadsheets and Microsoft Outlook is required.
· Appropriate work attire is required.
· Must attend all mandatory department training.
· Must attend all required Title 31 and/or SAR training.
· Ability to obtain a gaming identification badge to work in and around Casino property and facilities.
· Ensures confidentiality of financial records and all records for employees, band members and/or clients.
· Displays a responsive and professional manner in promptly responding to all requests, complaints, and problems.
· Recognizes that each employee is a representative of the Fond du Lac Band of Lake Superior Chippewa and is responsible for demonstrating courtesy, respect, and sensitivity to the needs of all others, including visitors and co-workers.
· Represents the Fond du Lac Band of Lake Superior Chippewa and the department in a positive and professional manner in the community.
· Required to maintain proper attendance including reporting to work on time in accordance with applicable policies.
· Maintains a clean and organized work area.
· Due to changes and modifications in the job from time to time, employees are required to be flexible and assume other responsibilities assigned by management as deemed necessary.
- Qualifications: · High school Diploma or a GED.
· Two years of experience in gaming (preferred).
· Must be a self-starter, motivated, versatile and responsible
· Ability to perform with a high degree of integrity when responding to the most sensitive inquiries and complaints
· Operations are conducted seven days a week and on holidays.
· Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing is required.
· Ability to work independently and establish priorities is required.
· Attention to detail and accuracy is required.
· Ability to establish professional and harmonious working relationships on all projects and with all parties involved.
· Subject to drug and alcohol testing in accordance with the Fond du Lac Reservation’s Personnel Policies.
· Subject to pre-employment and annual background checks.
· Some travel may be required.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
· Sedentary work with walking and standing required.
· Subject to inside environmental conditions, including work in a smoking environment.
