What are the responsibilities and job description for the FDL Security Supervisor position at Fond du Lac Reservation?
- Responsibilities: · Supervise security personnel, prepare work schedules for security personnel for each of the work sites that the RBC requests.
· Completes paperwork for department hires, discharges, and evaluations.
· Works closely with Director of Law Enforcement to develop departmental budget.
· Keep inventory of vehicles and equipment assigned to Security personnel.
· Assures the RBC that business and reservation property is secure by making sure that no theft, vandalism, fire, and illegal entry is taking place. To assure this, the Security personnel will patrol periodically the buildings and grounds assigned to them by the RBC.
· Watches and reports any irregularities, such as fire, leaking water pipes, doors left open or unlocked. These are to be reported to the Fond du Lac Police Department immediately.
· Immediately report to the Fond du Lac Police Department any unauthorized individual or individuals seen at sites, which are under observation.
· Records data such as property damage, unusual occurrences, and malfunction of machinery or equipment and reports these incidents to his or her supervisor. Keeps daily logs. Completes incident logs and provides this information to his supervisor.
· Appropriate work attire is required.
· Must attend all mandatory department trainings.
· Ensures confidentiality of financial records and all records for employees and/or clients.
· Displays a responsive and professional manner in promptly responding to all requests, complaints, and problems.
· Recognizes that each employee is a representative of the Fond du Lac Band of Lake Superior Chippewa and is responsible for demonstrating courtesy, respect, and sensitivity to the needs of all others, including visitors and co-workers.
· Represents the Fond du Lac Band of Lake Superior Chippewa and the department in a positive and professional manner in the community.
· Required to maintain proper attendance including reporting to work on time in accordance with applicable policies.
· Maintains a clean and organized work area.
· Due to changes and modifications in the job from time to time, employees are required to be flexible and assume other responsibilities assigned by management as deemed necessary.
- Qualifications: · Valid U.S. Class D Driver’s License required and must be insurable under Fond du Lac’s insurance requirements.
· Must have a high school diploma or GED and 5 years of experience in a security related field.
· Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing is required.
· Must be First Aid/CPR certified.

· Attention to detail and accuracy is required.
· Ability to establish professional and harmonious working relationships on all projects and with all parties involved.
· Subject to drug and alcohol testing in accordance with the Fond du Lac Reservation’s Personnel Policies.
· Subject to pre-employment and annual background checks.
· Travel is required. Some travel outside the reservation is required.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
·Subject to inside and outside environmental conditions, including work in adverse weather conditions.
·Requires long periods of sitting. Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds is required.
