Reports To: Supervisor: Slot Technician Supervisor
Probationary Period: 90 days – Full time
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt (Hourly)
Classification: Class A Gaming License
Driver’s License: No Driver’s License required.
Wage: $21.34 to $24.01
- Responsibilities: Responsible for the repair and maintenance of Slot Machines and other equipment used within the Slot Department.
- Due to changes and modifications in the job from time to time, employees are required to be flexible and assume other responsibilities assigned by management as deemed necessary.
Ensures that slot machines are kept in good working order. Replace and repair parts as needed.
Cleans machines as needed.
Investigates slot variances to identify and correct all possible causes for reported variances.
Participates in Slot Machine installations, relocations, and modifications as necessary (Machine and equipment weight is approximately 150-350 pounds and are removed with the aid of a hydraulic lift and dolly.
Maintains an orderly workshop environment.
Informs the lead technician or slot technician supervisor of work performed, and any remaining tasks to be completed.
Safeguards all assets under his or her control.
Must become knowledgeable of the slot accounting system.
Knowledge of computer applications including word processing, databases and/ or data entry, spreadsheets and Microsoft Outlook is desired.
Appropriate work attire is required.
Department uniform shirt is required and provided to the employee, which must be worn during the scheduled work hours unless prior arrangements have been made with management.
Must attend all mandatory department training.
Must attend all required Title 31 and/or SAR training.
Ability to obtain a gaming identification badge to work in and around Casino property and facilities.
Ensures confidentiality of financial records and all records for employees, band members and/or clients.
Displays a responsive and professional manner in promptly responding to all requests, complaints, and problems.
Recognizes that each employee is a representative of the Fond du Lac Band of Lake Superior Chippewa and is responsible for demonstrating courtesy, respect, and sensitivity to the needs of all others, including visitors and co-workers.
Represents the Fond du Lac Band of Lake Superior Chippewa and the department in a positive and professional manner in the community.
Required to maintain proper attendance including reporting to work on time in accordance with applicable policies.
Maintains a clean and organized work area.
- Qualifications: Completion of an electronics gaming or amusement technical training course is desired.
- Subject to inside environmental conditions, including work in a smoking environment.
Demonstrated skill in the repair of electronic equipment.
Knowledge of test equipment and tools.
Knowledge of electronic and electrical systems.
Ability to relate well with the public.
Operations are conducted seven days a week and on holidays.
Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing is required.
Ability to work independently and establish priorities is required.
Attention to detail and accuracy is required.
Ability to establish professional and harmonious working relationships on all projects and with all parties involved.
Subject to drug and alcohol testing in accordance with the Fond du Lac Reservation’s Personnel Policies.
Subject to pre-employment and annual background checks.
Some travel may be required.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Sedentary work with walking and standing bending, stooping, crouching, twisting, and turning is required. Repetitiously lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds is required. Excellent dexterity is required.
