What are the responsibilities and job description for the Surveillance Systems Technician position at Fond du Lac Reservation?
- Responsibilities: • Performs and assists with installation and maintenance and electronic repair of CCTV systems, recording devices, computers and supporting software of the Surveillance Department.
• Maintain records of department; inventory, work orders, equipment failure and time or repair, maintenance procedures and performance, (paper and computer).
• Develop and research cost effective measures to maintain and expand the system to enhance current system abilities in an ongoing effort to increase profitability and maximize coverage.
• Decrease down time and increase mean time between failure through effective periodic
preventative maintenance programs.
• Knowledge of a 24-hour, 7 day-a-week operation, with on-call capabilities.
• Communications with other departments to ensure time and work schedule do not interfere with daily operations of departments affected.
• Must maintain the confidentiality and integrity of the Surveillance Department
• Displays a responsive and professional manner in promptly responding to all requests, complaints, and problems.
• Must complete all mandatory department training including Title 31 and SAR.
• Must attend/maintain required systems/equipment training and required certifications.
• Must have current PLT licensure or ability to obtain licensure within 90 days of hire.
• The ability to establish and maintain professional relationships with vendors.
• May be required to assist with off-site Surveillance needs when necessary.

• Represents the Fond du Lac Band of Lake Superior Chippewa and the department in a positive and professional manner in the community.
• Required to maintain proper attendance including reporting to work on time in accordance with applicable policies.
• Maintains a clean and organized work area.
• Due to changes and modifications in the job from time to time, employees are required to be flexible and assume other responsibilities assigned by management as deemed necessary.
- Qualifications: · U.S. Class D Driver’s License required.
· A knowledge of Surveillance systems and equipment (CCTV cameras, recording devices, door access, and associated computers and software, etc.) installation, operation and maintenance is required.
· Must be familiar with the functions of a Surveillance operation.
· A knowledge and understanding of (Federal, State and Tribal) gaming laws and regulations as well as BBCR Internal Controls policies and procedures as they relate to installation and operation of Surveillance systems is required.
· A strong knowledge of computer applications including word processing, database entry and usage, spreadsheets and Microsoft Outlook is required
· The ability to work as a team player is required.
· The ability to work under stressful situations is required.
· A willingness to learn and adaptability are required.
· The ability to take and follow directions is required.
· The ability to perform tasks requiring mathematical and electronic aptitude along with logical thinking is required.
· Some travel may be required.
· Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing is required.
· Ability to work independently and establish priorities is required.
· Attention to detail and accuracy is required.
· Ability to establish professional and harmonious working relationships on all projects and with all parties involved.
· Subject to drug and alcohol testing in accordance with the Fond du Lac Reservation’s Personnel Policies.
· Subject to pre-employment and annual background checks.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENT:
· The ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds is required.
· Walking, standing, bending, stooping, climbing, pushing, pulling are required.
· Climbing ladders and the ability to work at heights in a lift also required
· Subject to outside and inside environmental conditions, including working in adverse weather conditions.
