Job Description

Houston Immigration law firm is seeking a full-time or part time attorney to join our team. Qualified candidates should have minimum of 1-2 years of family-based immigration experience. Candidate must be organized, hard-working, responsible, reliable, capable of working with limited supervision and committed to working within a team.

Responsibilities :

All matters pertaining to Immigration law, including but not limited to :

Develop and implement case strategy;
Prepare and file adjustment of status and, immigrant visa applications, naturalization applications, waivers, VAWA petitions, RFE / NOID responses and FOIA requests;
Research immigration law and procedures;
Represent clients and attend field office interviews.

Qualifications and requirements :

Licensed and in good standing to practice immigration law;

Bilingual in Spanish and English strongly preferred;

Strong understanding of immigration law and regulations;

Minimum 1-2 years of family-based immigration; Asylum and removal of defense; business immigration experience is a plus;

Comprehensive understanding in immigrant visa petitions and consular processing.

Thorough understanding of family - based petitions, waivers, adjustment of status complex issues, VAWA petitions & consular processing.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and client management skills; bilingual English and Spanish required;

Strong organization and research skills with attention to detail;

Strong analytical and problem - solving skills, collaborative mindset with a willingness to work with a supportive team.
