About the Role

As an Inside Sales Representative , you will play a critical role in hunting for leads, conducting market research, and setting meetings with city managers, engineers, and public works officials. Your job is to build our sales pipeline, secure opportunities, and support our Regional Sales Managers by ensuring they have high-value meetings with municipal decision-makers.

What You’ll Do

Lead Generation & Research : Identify cities, counties, city managers, city engineers, and public works leaders who influence outdoor lighting decisions.

Project Research : Track ongoing public works projects, open bids, and municipal infrastructure plans to find sales opportunities.

Cold Calling & Outreach : Reach out to municipal decision-makers via phone, email, and LinkedIn to introduce solar street lighting solutions.

Meeting Scheduling : Set up high-value meetings for Regional Sales Managers with city officials and key stakeholders.

CRM & Pipeline Management : Maintain accurate records of leads, contacts, and sales activities in the CRM system.

Support Sales Team : Assist Regional Sales Managers by preparing meeting notes, follow-ups, and background research.

Virtual Sales Presentations : Occasionally host virtual meetings with municipal officials to introduce our solutions.

Sales Strategy Execution : Work closely with sales leadership to refine outreach tactics and improve results.

What You Bring

Sales Experience : At least 1-2 years in inside sales, business development, or lead generation—preferably in B2B or municipal sales.

Strong Research & Prospecting Skills : Ability to find and qualify leads using online databases, bid-tracking tools, and LinkedIn.

Cold Calling Confidence : You’re not afraid to pick up the phone, make calls, and handle objections professionally.

Resilience & Grit : You understand that hearing “no” is part of the job and see it as an opportunity to improve your approach.

Excellent Organization : Ability to track multiple leads, follow-ups, and meetings with precision.

Tech-Savvy : Experience with CRM tools, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, bid-tracking platforms, and email outreach tools.

Clear & Professional Communication : Strong verbal and written skills for outreach, presentations, and follow-ups.

On-Site Requirement : This role is based on site for collaboration and team synergy.
