**Senior Associate - Development Position Summary:**
The Senior Associate - Development will support the Development department and report to the Senior Vice President of Development. This role involves assisting in managing various aspects of development throughout the project lifecycle across multiple categories of assets, including condo, hospitality, gaming/entertainment, multi-family, resort, food and beverage.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, and consultants to ensure timely project milestones are met.
- Prepare and maintain development schedules and budgets.
- Analyze financial and business case studies throughout the development lifecycle.
- Conduct market studies for development projects.
- Prepare meeting agendas, attend meetings, and document detailed minutes.
- Analyze design documents and construction scopes for compliance with project goals.
- Negotiate contracts with consultants and businesses.
- Coordinate communication across internal departments, including legal, sales, construction, finance, and accounting.
- Support administrative tasks and documentation for the Development Team leaders.
- Report directly to the Senior Vice President of Development on a regular basis.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Architecture, or a related field; an advanced degree is desirable.
- Minimum 4 years of experience in development, acquisitions, or design management.
- Experience in South Florida and/or New York development.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to create and manage development budgets and underwriting models.
- Understanding of the design process and experience managing design consultants.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
This position offers direct involvement as a key member of the development team on large live projects throughout South Florida, providing exposure to the Development Department lead.
