POSITION OVERVIEW
The Fontainebleau Las Vegas’10-week internship program is designed to be an immersive collaboration with UNLV School of Hospitality. Interns will work in a variety of resort operations that may include divisions such as Hotel, Casino, Food and Beverage, Retail, Nightlife, Finance, Sales and People. The internship will provide hands-on experience and a unique opportunity to learn about the inner workings of a major resort while developing valuable hospitality and guest experience skills.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The following and other duties may be assigned as necessary :
- Shadow and collaborate with department leadership to understand business strategies and operational challenges
- Perform administrative tasks as needed
- Contribute to ongoing projects by completing assigned tasks, providing support to fellow Members, and contributing ideas
- Interact with other Members and Leaders across different departments
- Build technical skills relevant to the industry through hands-on experience with software, tools, and platforms
- Demonstrate proactiveness in seeking opportunities to learn
- Attend internal training sessions, networking with Company professionals, and participate in mentorship from leaders
- Complete and present final project comprised of a revenue generating or cost savings initiative
- Temporary duties and responsibilities may be added to or modified as deemed necessary, based on the division being rotated in
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Member must be able to qualify for licenses and permits required by federal, state, and local regulations. Some interns may be required to obtain a Food Handlers Card, Alcohol Awareness Certification, and / or register with the Nevada Gaming Control Board (GCB).
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents in English, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to read and communicate verbally in English. Written communication skills in English may also be required.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

The internship is set at a pay rate of $18.00 per hour . Fontainebleau Las Vegas believes in developing and supporting our talent into the future.
