POSITION OVERVIEW
The Sales Manager is responsible for presenting Fontainebleau Las Vegas as a premier destination for Group business. The primary role is to maintain and manage accounts and secure future business opportunities for up to 10-99 rooms on peak within their respective market.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The following and other duties may be assigned as necessary:
- Obtain and manage inquiries through sales efforts with various accounts within assigned territory
- Evaluate future inquiries and identify optimal business opportunities
- Craft and present proposals to potential customers that highlight their key needs
- Manage contractual negotiations
- Cultivate and grow existing accounts and obtain new accounts
- Maintain written and verbal communication with new and existing customers to maximize account potential
- Travel to create brand awareness and build customer relationships (trips to include sales calls, tradeshows, networking functions, and various industry events).
- Conduct continuous sales efforts to meet and exceed assigned revenue goals
- Showcase Fontainebleau Las Vegas through site inspections with prospective customers
- Collaborate with the Group Sales team to help maximize revenue opportunities across all markets
- Gain an understanding of customer’s business, business issues, and concerns and offer customized solutions
- Identify opportunities to maximize revenue by promoting the entire resort
- Implement Fontainebleau’s service strategy and brand initiatives in all aspects of each customer experience.
- Maintain an understanding of competitor’s strengths and weaknesses in order to differentiate Fontainebleau Las Vegas from the competition
- Maintain an understanding of the overall market (e.g., competition, economic trends, seasonality, supply and demand, etc.)

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

- Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from a four-year College or university in hospitality management, or similar disciplines, and/or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience in sales, convention services, or operations for a large-scale, luxury resort
- Proficient in Delphi preferred
- Provide the ultimate experience for all clients while providing the highest-level standards of service without sacrificing quality
- Proven ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient in Microsoft application tools, including but not limited to Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook
- Excellent written and oral communication skills which include being able to comfortably sell new ideas/strategies at all levels of the organization
- Ability to travel and network, occasionally in the evening and on weekends
- Strong presentation skills
- Superior organizational skills to function effectively within established deadlines, with particular attention to detail
- Effective listening abilities with strong judgment skills
- Exceptional customer service skills and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with all business contacts
- Skilled in developing, leading, and maintaining guest relations
- Ability to apply reasoning to a variety of situations along with problem-solving and guest service
- Ability to customize guest experiences through suggestive selling techniques
- Ability to work under pressure and manage stressful situations during busy periods.
- Consistently maintain a professional, neat, and well-groomed appearance adhering to company standards

- Ability to maintain the confidentiality of sensitive guest and company information

SALARY
$60000 per year - $70000 per year
