POSITION OVERVIEW

The Sportsbook Supervisor will be responsible for the day-to-day activities of the sportsbook, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable experience for our sports betting guests. Leadership, strong analytical skills, and in-depth knowledge of sports betting will be vital in maintaining compliance, optimizing revenue, and promoting excellent customer service.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The following and other duties may be assigned as necessary :

  • Supervise and coordinate all sports betting activities, including accepting wagers, issuing tickets, and handling cash transactions
  • Ensure that all betting lines, odds, and wagering options are accurately displayed on the betting boards and screens
  • Train a team of sportsbook attendants, fostering a positive work environment and promoting teamwork and collaboration
  • Provide exceptional guests service, addressing customer inquiries, resolving disputes, and ensuring that guests have a positive and enjoyable betting experience
  • Proactively engage with guests to offer assistance and insights on betting options and events
  • Monitor sports betting activities to identify any irregularities or potential risks, ensuring compliance with all gaming regulations and internal policies
  • Collaborate with the compliance team to report and handle suspicious betting activities or unusual patterns
  • Prepare regular reports on key performance indicators (KPIs) and operational metrics for management review
  • Ensure that all sportsbook equipment, including betting kiosks, terminals, and display screens, are functioning correctly
  • Promote responsible gaming practices among both Members and guests, including age restrictions and self-exclusion policies
  • Monitor customer behavior for signs of potential problem gambling and take appropriate actions as needed
  • Temporary or permanent duties and responsibilities may be added to or modified as deemed necessary

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.   • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • One (1) year of management experience in a Sports Book, preferably from a large, high-volume luxury resort and casino
  • Working knowledge of Title 31 compliance
  • Interpersonal skills with focused attention on guest needs to deal effectively with all business contacts
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with all guests and make decisions on high action bets that exceed standard limits
  • Maintain a professional, neat, and well-groomed appearance adhering to Fontainebleau appearance standards
  • Maintain consistent adherence to Fontainebleau customer service standards
  • Working knowledge of all NGCB rules, regulations, and Internal Controls
  • Ability to clearly present information through the spoken or written word; speak with customers or employees, listen effectively
  • Ability to demonstrate a high level of service delivery; to do what is necessary to ensure customer satisfaction, deal with service shortfalls, and prioritize customer or client needs
  • Ability to be tactful and polite, maintain confidences, and foster an ethical work environment; handle all situations with sincerity
  • Exhibit enthusiasm and promote a positive group working environment, work closely with other departments as necessary; support group decisions and display team spirit
  • Ability to provide direction contributing to the success of the organization through engaging, developing, and mentoring individuals and teams
  • Must be willing and able to work a flexible schedule to include holidays, nights, and weekends
  • Work in a fast-paced, busy, and somewhat stressful environment
  • SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

    This position does not have any direct supervisory responsibilities.

    CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

    Member must be able to qualify for licenses and permits required by federal, state, and local regulations.

    LANGUAGE SKILLS

    Ability to read and interpret documents in English, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to read and communicate verbally in English. Written communication skills in English may also be required.

    REASONING ABILITY

    Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

    While performing the duties of this job, the Member is regularly required to stand and use hands and fingers to handle or utilize objects, tools, or controls. The Member frequently is required to reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and peripheral vision.

    The Member must regularly lift and / or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and / or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and / or move up to 50 pounds, and must have the ability to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, stoop, stack, crouch, kneel and balance when performing job duties in varying work areas such as confined spaces.

    WORK ENVIRONMENT
