WASTEWATER OPERATOR – Fontana Walworth Water Pollution Control Commission
Fontana Walworth Water Pollution Control Commission is accepting applications for a full-time Entry Level Wastewater Operator. A strong mechanical aptitude is desired as this position is responsible for operating and performing preventive and corrective maintenance to all FWWPCC facilities, lift stations, equipment and collection systems. Additional duties include collecting samples and performing process control testing, performing basic laboratory analysis, routine cleaning, snow removal, and grass cutting. Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent and a valid driver’s license. Wastewater Operator Certification is required within one year of hire.
This position will also require you to serve as an on-call employee for a seven-day period on a rotating schedule including holidays.
This is an hourly position with an excellent benefits package including health, dental, vision, disability, and life insurance, as well as participation in the Wisconsin Retirement System. Starting pay is $18.00 – $25.00 per hour depending on qualifications.
