Our primary service is engineeringwhich creates the products we license. Our secondary services all focus around making iteasy for licensees to utilize our technology in a consistent manner. Position Summary:Our R&D Engineer (RDE) has seven main functions1. Develops new products (development including primary steps such as ideationsimulation, prototype, test, manufacturability, and production launch)2. Develops ideas for new products3. Improves existing products4. Develops analytical tools to make it easier to apply our products5. Supports product engineering requests of licensees6. Creates and maintains standards7. Organizes core knowledge to democratize knowledge so that anyone in company canfind what they need without asking for assistance8. Position Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To:● Ideating from an unmet need to design concepts.● Conducting analytical studies, including but not limited to the use of FEA tools, onengineering proposals to develop designs for products.● Applying diversified knowledge of engineering principles, practices, and protocols to theidentification of novel solutions.● Initiating cost reduction proposals and investigating proposals from other sources,compiling appropriate information, making recommendations for action, and checking onresults obtained.● Analyzing product or equipment specifications and performance requirements todetermine designs, which can be produced by existing manufacturing or processingfacilities and methods.● Analyzing data and calculation results to determine feasibility and robustness of designproposals.● Directing and coordinating manufacturing or building of prototype products or systems.● Planning and developing experimental test programs for products or systems.● Analyzing test data and reports to determine if designs meet functional and performancespecifications.● Determining the nature of technical problems and possible solutions, such as productredesign, substitution of material or processes, or rearrangement of parts orsubassemblies.● Preparing technical presentations for use by engineering or management/salespersonnel.● Preparing or directing preparations of product detailed drawings, system layouts, and/orstandards using CAD and other relevant software.● Acting as a leading resource to others in technology and applications groups.● Managing multiple or complex projects which may require the use of sophisticatedproject planning techniques● Other duties as assigned by the manager.
