Position Summary
Responsible for ensuring water effluent is to specification and equipment is operating properly by taking water samples, checking and verifying all instrumentation. Required to maintain compliance with EPA, city and state regulations.
Position Responsibilities
Analyzes effluent for total metal content and PH; maintains with parameters of discharge permit; and accurately records results.
Makes minor adjustments to the PH meter, flow meters, probes, display panel readouts, etc. as needed.
Maintain system so no citations are received for discharge of non-compliance materials into city sewer system.
Prepares solution tanks as needed by adding chemicals and monitoring.
Responsible for mixing waste sludge and drying agent to meet moisture specifications in sludge box.
Coordinates removal of all water; barrels, de-watered sludge, and waste oil by scheduling removal.
Maintains cleanliness of work area daily.
Education/Experience
HSD, GED or equivalent.
Must be capable of obtaining a license for Waste Treatment and FL.
Currently possess an Industrial Waste Water Treatment Certification-class K license.
Proficient computer skills.
Ability to meet competing deadlines.
Ability to work independently with little or no supervision.
Comfortable with using Microsoft Office products such as email and outlook calendar.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
