Job Description: Theology Teacher
Classification: Full-Time Position
Reports to: Theology Department Chairperson
Job Summary:
Fontbonne is seeking a passionate, dedicated, and faith-filled individual to join our faculty as a Theology Teacher. The ideal candidate will be committed to providing a rigorous and engaging theological education while helping students grow spiritually, morally, and intellectually. The position includes the following responsibilities:
Understanding and modeling the mission, vision, and values of Fontbonne and the Sisters of St. Joseph of Boston as a Catholic school in the Archdiocese of Boston
Fostering a welcoming and inclusive classroom environment that respects and values the diverse backgrounds of students
Developing and delivering curriculum that aligns with Theology department standards and policies
Collaborating with members of the Theology department
Posting assignments using our online LMS
Evaluating student work and maintaining gradebooks
Assessing student progress, providing constructive feedback, and supporting their academic growth.
Communicating regularly with parents and guardians about student progress
Participating in faculty meetings, retreats, and professional development opportunities
Qualifications:
A Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Theology, Religious Studies, or a related field
A Master’s degree in Theology or Divinity is preferred
3-5 years of teaching experience preferred
