What are the responsibilities and job description for the Varsity Volleyball Coach position at Fontbonne The Early College of Boston?
Fontbonne | The Early College of Boston is looking for a head varsity volleyball coach for the
fall 20245 season. This position is responsible for coaching and providing direction and
instruction to student athletes so that they can achieve a high level of skill as well as an
appreciation for discipline, sportsmanship and teamwork. The coach will work under the
supervision of the Athletic Director in accordance with Fontbonne’s core values.
The responsibilities for this position include:
● responsible for heading the varsity program, as well as overseeing the junior varsity team,and freshwomen team.
● coordinating tryouts, practice planning, game management, fundraising and implementing youth programs
● Develop team and individual practice regimes for student athletes (e.g. strength, speed, agility, nutritional, injury prevention, etc.)
● Promote and encourage sportsmanship and team values at all times
● Develops game strategies/plans for the purpose of preparing the team and individual student athletes for the competition
● Ensure that all athletic activities conform to MIAA guidelines
● Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
● Prior coaching experience
● High school diploma or equivalent
● Have a valid drivers license, be able to drive, and qualify under Fontbonne’s insurance carrier when driving a school vehicle
