We’re seeking a driven and capable Litigation Associate Attorney to work alongside our head attorneys and contribute to solidifying our reputation as the go-to firm for family law cases. Your primary role will be to serve as a key attorney, working alongside our other Litigation Associate Attorney, to handle discovery and draft complex legal filings—ensuring we provide the strongest possible support for our clients. In short, your primary role is to be a drafting attorney.

Litigation Associate Attorney Job Responsibilities:
1. Assist the head attorneys drafting and reviewing filings and discovery, trial preparation, and any other tasks delegated by the head attorneys.
2. Help your clients receive the best results as allowed by the law. You will work with the head attorneys to pursue the best strategy in achieving the clients’ ultimate goals.
3. Litigate issues in court if head attorneys need assistance. Whether it be a motion to enforce hearing or a trial, you will need to effectively and eloquently advocate for your clients before the Commissioners and Judges.
4. Conduct extensive research and analysis on a diverse array of family law and estate litigation cases.
5. Draft persuasive motions, pleadings, and briefs.
6. Collaborate with your clients, your paralegal, and other attorneys.
Attorney Qualifications and Skills:
- Possess a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
- Licensed as an attorney in the State of Utah with a good standing with the Utah State Bar. Alternatively, you currently reside in Utah and are in the process of obtaining your license to practice law in the State of Utah.
- At least one (1) year of experience as a licensed attorney managing discovery and drafting complex legal filings.
- Having family law and estate litigation experience is preferred, but not required, if you are the right fit for the Litigation Associate Attorney position.
- Possess exceptional research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Have an understanding and knowledge of family law, legal procedures, and the intricacies of the courtroom. In the alternative, you are willing to learn and be trained by the head attorneys.
- Articulate your thoughts with eloquence and precision, whether through written or verbal communication.
- Show empathy and build connections with clients, colleagues, and legal professionals.
- Maintain a high level of integrity, professionalism, and ethical conduct.
- Ability to manage a large workload.
- Have a good track record of client satisfaction, despite the outcome of the case.
Compensation and Benefits:
• Pay rate range: $90,000 - $120,000 salary.
• Potential for a monthly bonus.
• Health insurance (Immediately upon hire). Excluding dental and vision insurance.
• 401k with matching (After three months working at the firm).
• Reasonable billable requirement of 110 hours a month, allowing for a work-life balance.
