Who Are We Looking For?
We are looking for a dynamic, empathetic and flexible Medical Receptionist that will enjoy working in a pediatric clinic. They must be able to work in a fast paced work environment. Responsibilities include greeting patients, scheduling appointments, processing paperwork, and maintaining patient records.
Job Duties & Responsibilities :
Check in & Check Out Procedures :
- Greet patients and their families as they finish their appointment, ensuring questions are answered or escalated appropriately.
- Complete the check-in process and communicate with the back office when patients are ready to ensure prompt patient rooming.
- Complete the checkout process by scheduling follow up visits and closing visit encounters and claims.
- Review Food Dosing Plans to determine appointment types and days needed for next appointments.
- Provide comment cards and instructions on providing feedback during check-out process, escalating concerns as needed.
- Verify any changes to patient demographics, update insurances each visit, and ensure information is uploaded appropriately to the Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
- Assist with billing processes, such as collecting and processing payments within multiple platforms.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is required to walk between multiple office locations that include the use of stairs (elevator is only available in some instances).
This position requires the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies, up to 20 pounds.
