Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and proactive Equipment and Facility Maintenance Technician to join our team. This individual will be responsible for ensuring the optimal functionality of warehouse equipment, maintaining and repairing facility structures, and promoting safety compliance within the warehouse environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical background and hands-on experience with equipment maintenance and facility repairs.

Shift: Monday- Friday 9AM-5:30PM
Hourly rate: $25-$35 per hour DOE
Key Responsibilities:
Equipment Maintenance & Repairs:
- Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair pallet jacks, hand trucks, and other warehouse equipment to minimize downtime.
- Perform basic mechanical repairs and preventative maintenance to ensure the continued safety and operational efficiency of equipment.
Facility & Structural Maintenance:
- Maintain and repair warehouse racking systems, ensuring they are secure, compliant with safety regulations, and fit for use.
- Perform painting and touch-ups on walls, equipment, and safety markings as required.
- Conduct welding and metalwork repairs on racking, dock doors, and other structural components as needed.
Dock & Loading Area Maintenance:
- Inspect and repair dock doors, bumpers, and levelers to maintain functionality and safety standards.
- Maintain loading bay areas to eliminate hazards and support the efficient flow of operations.
General Maintenance & Safety Compliance:
- Conduct regular facility inspections and report any issues or repairs to management.
- Ensure tools and work areas are well-organized, clean, and safe for daily use.
- Adhere to all OSHA safety regulations and company policies to ensure a safe and compliant work environment.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in equipment maintenance, facility repairs, or a similar mechanical role.
- Strong understanding of welding, metalwork, and general mechanical systems.
- Experience with pallet jacks, hand trucks, and warehouse racking systems.
- Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and general workplace safety protocols.
- Ability to perform basic electrical and mechanical repairs and troubleshooting.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks in a warehouse environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certifications in maintenance/repair is a plus.
Working Conditions:
- Warehouse environment with exposure to noise, dust, and varying temperatures.
- Ability to work with machinery, power tools, and welding equipment.
