What are the responsibilities and job description for the Development Manager position at Food Backpacks 4 Kids?
The Development Manager will prioritize the development and implementation of a capital campaign and project as we grow our Food 4 All program. Working closely with the Executive Director and Board of Directors led Building Committee, this position will be instrumental in the growth and success of Food 4 All and our new facility. Salary will be DOE.
Fundraising & Communications:
- Will develop relationships to foster community goodwill and financial support
- Instrumental in fundraising with a focus on 2025-2026 Capital Project
- Serve as a spokesperson for FB4K to the organization’s constituents, the media, and the general public as needed
- Attend networking events when applicable
- Work collaboratively with staff to maintain organizational image and narrative
- Assist in designing materials to help promote FB4K and develop, share, support, and promote all graphics and communication as needed
Project Coordination:
- Work with Executive Director and board Building Committee to develop an actionable plan to move the capital project to completion
- Coordinate all players, including county entities, architect, engineer, and community helpers for positive outcome
- Provide insight and leadership for best practices, cohesive planning, and implementation of plans and actions to move the capital project forward
Qualifications
- Proven experience leading or supporting a capital campaign, preferably in a nonprofit or community-focused organization
- Strong project management skills, including coordination with multiple stakeholders (e.g., county officials, architects, engineers)
- Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities with donors, partners, and the general public
- Comfortable serving as a spokesperson and representing the organization at public or media events
- Experience developing promotional materials and supporting communications strategies
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to work closely with executive leadership, board committees, and staff
- Strategic thinker with a track record of implementing projects from planning through execution
- Passion for community-focused work and alignment with FB4K’s mission
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From $35,000.00 per year
Expected hours: 20 – 30 per week
