The barista keeps the coffee fresh and full, the coffee and surrounding areas clean and will stocked with supplies; fresh donuts, roll, and sandwiches available. The barista builds a rapport with customers greeting them with a smile, getting to know their names and chatting briefly. The barista assists the store manager in other areas of the store as requested.

• Clarity of vision near/ far distances and acceptable level of hearing
• Able to climb a ladder to reach store supplies etc.
• Able to stock shelves on the sales floor and in the cooler
• Able to sweep, mop floors, dust shelves, lift and carry out trash and place trash in outside bins
• Able to tolerate exposure to gasoline fumes and cleaning products
Travel
• Able to get to work on time
• Able to attend mandatory seminars
Key Duties and Responsibilities
• Keeps coffee pots filled with fresh coffee following coffee program guidelines
• Keeps coffee area and surrounding area clean and well stocked with coffee supplies and condiments
• Greets all customers with a friendly smile, gets to know their names, chats briefly
• Adheres to barista dress code including apron; appearance always neat and clean
• Heats and displays breakfast and lunch sandwiches following food safety guidelines and records temperatures on log
• Ensures that all sandwiches both cold and hot are organized, stocked, coded and priced and removes any out dated sandwiches
• Stocks open air coolers with appropriate product checking date codes and removing any out of date
• Writes off spoiled fruit, sandwiches, pie slices on the store use form
• Assists co-workers when needed or requested; if this involves ringing the register then must also be Sales Associate Certified
• Follows health, safety, and sanitary regulations including when to wear gloves and when to remove aprons
• Reports to management any equipment that is not working properly
• Makes a suggestive order for the manager of coffee supplies and sandwiches needed.
• Cleans and organizes back supply room, mops floors, cleans bathrooms and removes trash
• Assists manager in other areas as requested
