What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cleaner, Warehouse position at Food Bank For New York City?
Principal Duties And Responsibilities
- Comply with all sanitation, health, cleaning and housekeeping procedures to health code standards;
- Perform pest control services by conducting inspections, correct pest control problems by applying product, baiting and monitoring
- Maintain sanitary conditions in the facility at all times, including bathrooms and garbage room;
- Execute duties such as baling cardboard boxes, dish washing and equipment cleaning;
- Coordinate pick up of baled boxes, pallets and milk crates on a weekly basis;
- Receive trucks and unload merchandise as needed;
- Perform basic support duties such as product storage, FIFO, and inventory;
- Maintain weekly inventory of cleaning supplies;
- Maintain cleaning logs for the facility including temperature logs of the dry and cold storage areas;
- High School Diploma or equivalent plus 2 years porter training and/or experience;
- Team player with excellent communication and customer service skills;
- Ability to maintain a schedule
- Ability to lift boxes averaging 30-50 lbs, e.g., boxes, equipment or supplies;
