Multimedia Producer

Food Bank of Central & Eastern North Carolina
Raleigh, NC Full Time
POSTED ON 12/20/2024
AVAILABLE BEFORE 2/19/2025

The Food Bank of Central & Eastern North Carolina is an exciting, challenging, and rewarding place to work. Our vision: No one goes hungry, our Mission: Nourish people. Build solutions. Empower communities. We are an equal opportunity employer and are known for our core values of Respect, Integrity, Compassion, Dedication, Teamwork, and Fun!

Hunger and poverty are not primarily the result of personal choices or circumstances; they are deeply rooted in systems that deny opportunity and provide insufficient safety nets for common crises such as illness or loss of income.  This is the true story of hunger — and as our Multimedia Producer, you will help bring this story to life through people-centered video, audio, photography, and more. Your work will help raise awareness of the root causes of food insecurity, its impact in our communities, and the systemic approach needed to end hunger for good.

In this role, you will work to curate stories and produce content to tell the stories of our neighbors in central and eastern North Carolina — including people experiencing hunger, volunteers, donors, activists, and partner organizations. With direction from the Director of Internal Communications & Creative Services, you will identify opportunities to shine a light on the root causes of hunger and amplify stories of resilience and community-led change. These stories will be told across multiple platforms, in short and long formats, from print testimonials and podcasts to documentary video and photography.

Typical Schedule: Monday - Friday   8:30am - 5:00pm

What You’ll Bring:

You are an experienced creative professional and content creator who cares deeply about people in our community who are experiencing food insecurity. You have a background in human-centered storytelling — as well as demonstrated accomplishments in videography, photography, and/or audio production. And you are committed to disrupting systems that drive hunger and poverty. The successful candidate will also bring a sincere interest in collaboration and continuous learning within a growing communications and public policy team; a firm belief in the Food Bank’s mission; and a strong commitment to our vision of a future where no one goes hungry.
