Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Meat Cutter to join our team at Food City. As a key member of our meat department, you will be responsible for cutting, trimming, chopping, and grinding meat and seafood products to meet customer demand.
Main Responsibilities
- Cutting, Trimming, Chopping, and Grinding Meat and Seafood Products:
- Operate electric meat saws, grinders, and other meat processing equipment to prepare products for display.
- Follow established procedures to ensure accurate and efficient product preparation.
- Tray and Wrap Product for Display:
- Ensure high-quality, visually appealing displays of fresh meat and seafood products.
- Maintain accurate records of product inventory and rotation.
- Maintain High-Quality, Fresh Product:
- Work closely with the store's receiving and ordering teams to ensure timely and accurate receipt of merchandise.
- Inspect products regularly to identify any damage or defects.
- Handle Freight, Organize Coolers, and Assist with Ordering Product:
- Lift, carry, and move merchandise throughout the store as needed.
- Assist in receiving, stocking, and rotating merchandise to maintain a clean and organized sales floor.
- Support Team Members:
- Act as a resource and provide assistance to fellow team members as needed.
- Participate in on-the-job training and performance feedback sessions.
