Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Server to join our team. Food Craft is a family owned breakfast restaurant in Hampton Roads. We are one of the busier restaurants in the area and pride ourselves in still providing great food and service. The hours are perfect for anyone with children. We are able to offer full and part time. Weekends are a must, no exceptions.
Duties
- Greet and welcome guests in a friendly manner, providing them with menus and information about daily specials.
- Take food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring that all guest requests are fulfilled.
- Deliver food and beverages to tables in a timely manner while maintaining proper presentation standards.
- Handle cash transactions, process payments, and manage the cash register with accuracy.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, including resetting tables for new guests.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely preparation and delivery of orders.
- Address guest inquiries or concerns promptly, ensuring high levels of guest satisfaction.
- Adhere to food safety regulations and maintain knowledge of menu items, including ingredients and potential allergens.
Experience
- Previous experience in food service or hospitality is required. Preferably 3 years of experience in a breakfast restaurant would be ideal.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to build rapport with guests quickly.
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions efficiently.
- Knowledge of food safety practices is an advantage.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to facilitate effective guest relations.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
