Position: Lead Barista
Work Status: Non-Exempt/Hourly
Compensation: $12/hour plus tips (averaging $20-$25/hr.)
Availability Expectations: Part-Time; Monday/Wednesday/Friday 6:30am-2:30pm

About Position:
The Lead Barista oversees the day to day operations of the café, including but not limited to training and supervising staff, assisting with ordering of product and ensuring that all food health and safety regulations are adhered to. This position is responsible for being educated of coffee products and drinks to educate both customers and team members. This position is responsible for maintaining a constructive workflow; holds staff accountable for quality of work, delegates tasks during downtime, ensures appropriate stocking/side work is completed, cuts counter staff (as necessary), etc.
Job Requirements:
- Previous work experience as a Barista is required
- Previous leadership experience
- Hands-on experience with brewing equipment
- Knowledge of sanitation regulations
- Flexibility to work various shifts
- Basic math skills
- Ability to gauge customers’ preferences
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to obtain ServSafe certification
