This interdenominational Christian ministry provides emergency relief assistance, clean water, medicines, educational materials, homes, support for orphans and the aged, skills training and micro-enterprise development assistance. Overall Responsibility :
The Enterprise Architect will design and oversee the implementation of our IT architecture strategy, ensuring it aligns with the organization's goals and mission. This role involves developing a comprehensive IT framework, managing technology integration, and ensuring our IT systems are scalable and efficient. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in enterprise architecture, strategic planning, and technology management, with a strong commitment to using technology to advance organizational success.
Additionally, the Enterprise Architect will integrate project and program strategies, ensuring alignment with business objectives and management priorities. They will be responsible for cataloging, developing, coordinating, communicating, maintaining, and enforcing the overall Enterprise Architecture models, including representations, initiatives, capabilities, and standard components essential for business and technology operations.
- This role is to be hired in San Pedro Sula, Honduras. A valid travel visa is required.
Duties :
Architectural Design : Develop and maintain the enterprise architecture framework, including IT infrastructure, applications, data management, and security. Ensure that all IT systems and solutions are aligned with the organization's strategic objectives.
Strategy Development : Collaborate with senior leadership and stakeholders to define and refine the IT strategy. Translate business needs into technical solutions and develop long-term plans for IT growth and innovation.
Integration & Implementation : Oversee the integration of new technologies and systems into the existing architecture. Manage technology projects to ensure timely and successful implementation, with a focus on minimizing disruption and maximizing value.
Standards & Governance : Establish and enforce architectural standards, best practices, and governance policies. Ensure compliance with industry regulations and organizational policies.
Stakeholder Engagement : Work closely with various departments to understand their technology needs and provide guidance on IT solutions. Act as a liaison between business units and IT teams to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
Risk Management : Identify potential risks and vulnerabilities within the IT architecture. Develop and implement strategies to mitigate risks and ensure the security and reliability of IT systems.
Performance Monitoring : Monitor and evaluate the performance of IT systems and infrastructure. Identify areas for improvement and implement enhancements to optimize performance and efficiency.
Innovation : Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends. Recommend and implement innovative solutions that drive organizational growth and improve operational effectiveness.
Qualifications
Education and Experience :
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
Minimum of 5-8 years of experience in IT architecture, including at least 3-5 years in a senior or enterprise-level role. Experience in the nonprofit sector or similar mission-driven organizations is a plus.
Experience in the non-profit sector is a plus.
Bilingual English / Spanish is a must.
Knowledge of industry regulations and best practices related to IT governance and security.
Strong understanding of project management methodologies and tools (e.g., Agile, Scrum, Waterfall).
