Wage : $24 per hour
Hours : Tuesday 8 : 30am – 5 : 00pm, Wednesday 8 : 30am – 5 : 00pm and Thursday 1 : 00-5 : 00pm (subject to change)
Location : Washington, D.C.
Job Summary
As a Food for Thought Conference Center Coordinator, you will be part of our Workspace Solutions team, assisting with running the day to day of one of our client’s conference centers. The ideal Conference Center Attendant is organized, resourceful, focuses on building client relationships, and excels at proactively managing tasks and initiatives.
The Conference Center Coordinator is responsible for loading and unloading the hand cart with appropriate products for beverage and food setups / breakdowns, placing catering orders with vendors, receiving catering orders and assisting with special events.
The role of the Conference Center Coordinator is intended for an Independent Contractor (Self-Employment), based on a 20-hour weekly schedule.
Responsibilities
- Delivering all products for events on time.
- Restocking pantries, ordering inventory, and maintaining coffee equipment.
- Setting up rooms for meetings.
- Cleaning the cart and storage.
- Keeping the catering area clean and neatly organized.
- Keeping floors dry and clean to avoid slip / fall accidents.
- Examining products for quality.
- Ensuring all tools and equipment are in good working order.
- Performing other duties such as cross training, moving supplies and equipment, cleaning up spills, etc.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee will occasionally be exposed to heavy equipment such as delivery vehicles or fork trucks.
