Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Cart Attendant to join our team. The Cart Attendant will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our retail environment. This position involves managing shopping carts, assisting customers, and ensuring that the store remains welcoming and efficient. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills and the ability to handle physical tasks, including heavy lifting.
Responsibilities
- Collect and organize shopping carts from the parking lot and store entrance.
- Maintain cleanliness of the cart area and ensure all carts are free of debris.
- Assist customers with their shopping needs, providing excellent customer service.
- Use an RF scanner to track cart inventory and manage returns effectively.
- Ensure that all products are properly displayed and organized within the store.
- Support sales efforts by assisting with product placement and promotional displays.
- Perform heavy lifting as necessary to move carts and merchandise throughout the store.
- Collaborate with team members to maintain a smooth workflow in the retail environment.
Requirements
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) as required.
- Previous experience in a retail or warehouse environment is preferred but not mandatory.
- Familiarity with retail math concepts is a plus.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- A positive attitude and commitment to providing excellent customer service.
- Willingness to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
