Sales Representative/Account Manager – Food Manufacturing (Prepared Meat, Industrial/Ingredient Sales)
Portland, OR (area), On-site
Primary Purpose: Represents the company to new and existing customers for sales and product development.
Responsibilities & Duties:
· Reports to the Director of Sales.
- Plan and achieve annual sales growth profitably.
- Maintain relationships with decision-makers to ensure that margins and sales goals are accomplished.
- Assure alignment of sales/marketing strategies and promotions with nuances of account base or market segment.
- Manage and develop the customer base while identifying, investigating, and approaching new alternative markets, building sustainable, profitable growth.
- Collaborate with sales management/leaders/teams to develop overall objectives and growth strategies.
- Coordinate between sales, R&D, production, and QA relative to filling orders, shipping, and costing
- Identify opportunities to expand company’s portfolio.
- Drive new business development, expand territories, build brand awareness, and increase market share.
- Other duties as required.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 5 years of food sales experience is required, preferably in the industrial channel.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Sales, Marketing, Hospitality, Culinary Arts or related field preferred.
- Travel as needed.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Basic computer skills and demonstrated proficiency using Microsoft Office products & CRM Tools.
- Experience in Ingredient/Industrial sales of protein and/or prepared meat products is highly desired.
Compensation: Highly dependent on education and experience. Includes base ($100K to $130K) incentives, benefits, PTO.
