Machine Operator
As the centre for film development and manufacture, Aquatech’s Manufacturing facility generates innovative film products sold globally. Aquatech manufactures dry blended, customized food ingredients servicing the American market.
We are looking for a Machine Operator to join us.
Responsibilities
· Operate slitting machine to create bobbins of required sizes
· Operate forklift
· Calibrate metal detector at the beginning of every shift
· Record bobbin lengths, sizes, and weights onto pallet IDs
· Inspect products for defects and pull defective items off the production line before they proceed further in the production process. All defective products must be properly labeled and rerouted away from the production area.
· Fill out production reports, and record all required data in batch records
· Packing and cleaning the work station.
· Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
· Clean slitting machine between lots
· Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves or in bins according to organizational standards.
· Other duties as assigned
Qualification requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills, organizational, time management and mathematical skills
- Dependable and Reliable
- Inventory, Equipment maintenance, data entry and computer skills may be required
- Previous experience in a warehouse or production environment preferred
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Physical stamina and ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Physical demands and abilities
- Regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms and talk or hear
- Regularly lift and/or move objects 50lbs
- Frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
- Occasionally required to sit and climb or balance
- Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust and focus.
- Ability to work in heat conditions, especially in areas where high temperatures are common
