We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Forklift Operator to join our team. Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts and other heavy equipment to load and unload materials from trucks and pallets.
- Ensure the safe transportation of goods throughout the warehouse, adhering to all safety protocols.
- Assist in shipping and receiving processes, including verifying the accuracy of shipments and maintaining inventory records.
- Utilize pallet jacks and order pickers for efficient materials handling.
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment to ensure proper functioning and report any mechanical issues.
- Collaborate with team members to build orders accurately and efficiently while maintaining a high level of productivity.
- Maintain cleanliness in work areas, following all safety guidelines established by OSHA.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Forklift Operator or in a similar role within a warehouse or manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of materials handling techniques and safety regulations, particularly OSHA standards.
- Ability to operate various types of forklifts, pallet jacks, and order pickers safely and effectively.
- Mechanical knowledge is preferred for troubleshooting equipment issues as they arise.
- Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining focus on safety and efficiency.
- A valid forklift operator certification is highly desirable.
