What are the responsibilities and job description for the RECEIVING CLERK position at Food Matters Markets Inc?
Description
You will ensure that inventory is received correctly into our inventory management system. A receiver must be self motivated, conscientious, organized, and have excellent attention to detail.
- Receiving: Ensuring that prices are accurate, and that the invoices conform to purchase orders
- Inspecting: Checking for damage and other issues, and resolving discrepancies with invoices
- Reducing shrink: Ensuring that credit is received for damaged, returned, and out-of-date products
- Providing customer service: Assisting with special orders and new item requests
- Assisting the grocery team as needed
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 1 years' experience in grocery preferred
- Microsoft Office proficient
- Knowledge of ECRS preferred
- Ability to stand, move around, or sit for different periods of time
- Reaching, bending and lifting merchandise, including items weighing up to 60 lbs
