MUST UPLOAD HS DIPLOMA/GED, RESUME AND TX DRIVER LICENSE
REQUIRED:
- High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma required, (GED) in English.
- Two (2) year related experience or training.
- Valid Texas Driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
PREFERRED:
Certification in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration preferred or ability to obtain within one (1) year of employment.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES:
Assists in maintaining, repairing, and replacing parts on the following equipment: coolers and freezers, condensers, motors, ovens, thermostats, tilting bruisers, steam kettles, vertical cutters, mixers, cash registers and other large and small appliances, also included is the repair of furniture and plumbing fixtures. Assists in removing usable parts from surplus equipment and using them for existing working equipment. Delivers food and/or supplies and cleans the warehouse as assigned by the Warehouse Supervisor. Installs replacement equipment and coordinates projects with Maintenance Department or contracted services. Observes safety regulations and reports hazardous situations. Evaluates and determines which pieces of equipment are obsolete and can be used for spare parts. Initiates projects and follows through as needed to ensure timely completion. Orders parts for equipment and maintains records on inventory; compares prices on items as requested by the Area Supervisor on all parts purchased for replacement. Logs repairs of equipment on cards by schools. Advises department administrator and Area Supervisor on equipment needs of schools and assists in the planning process of new kitchens. Reviews and follows up on new kitchens punch list; turns in weekly reports to Assistant Administrator until all punch list concerns are completed. Repairs equipment and serving counters promptly; maintains equipment in functional condition conducive to managing students properly as they go through the cafeteria line. Assembles, maintains partitions and stations for traffic flow of serving lines and student management. Prepares and presents reports as required by department administrator. Drives District vehicles to and from work site; obeys all traffic laws. Strives to promote the safety, health and comfort of all students and employees in performance of duties. Follows established safety procedures and techniques to perform job duties. Maintains confidentiality. Maintains a high level of ethical behavior as is expected of all District employees. Maintains professional growth by attending in-service and meetings as requested/required. Performs other related duties as assigned.
