The Food Pantry, Ltd. stores is seeking an Assistant Store Manager that will float between our resort and store locations on Maui.
Job Responsibilities:
- Maintain and enforce a positive, service oriented attitude by all store associates towards our customers and our company by adhering to the Company’s World Class Service Program.
- Actively support the Store Manager in the fulfillment of his/her responsibilities in planning, organizing, directing and controlling the store activities and operations.
- Coordinate and direct the overall operations of the store in the absence of the Store Manager.
- Assist in the supervision and direction of all department managers and associates.
- Observe and enforce all store and company policies, procedures and practices, including but not limited to safety, conduct, inventory control, record keeping, markups/markdowns, in-store use of merchandise, voids, refunds, bad merchandise/spoilage write-offs, proper register and cash handling, cleanliness and customer service.
- Address any areas of possible loss due to theft, shoplifting, free bagging, fraud and/or carelessness. Implement and maintain effective security standards and procedures for all areas within the store.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 1 years of retail experience in a supervisory role. Previous retail customer service experience required.
- High school education or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Basic computer skills required.
- Must be able to lift up to 30lbs and frequently bend and twist from the waist.
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Must comply with all company policies and requirements.
- Must possess a valid TB Clearance.
