Substitute Salary Schedule
Substitute Server Helpers are limited to working 600 hours per school year.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Must have valid Health Certificate.
- Ability to relate well with other food service workers and other school personnel.
- Demonstrate ability to operate and care for institutional kitchen equipment and ability to lift and carry objects up to 50 pounds.
- Demonstrate ability to do basic mathematics and change menus for proportioned quantities and attendance factors.
- Demonstrate ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing.
- Always punctual.
- Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the board may find acceptable.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist with preparation, assembling, serving and clean-up of meals following Food Service policies and procedures and comply with regulations concerning meal pattern requirements.
- Supervise and instruct student workers assisting with the meal period.
- Follow proper sanitation, safety and temperature control procedures in accordance with health department standards.
- Responsible for maintaining a safe work environment and report all problems to appropriate department in a timely manner.
- Additional duties as requested by the Food Services Director.
