Position Goal: To efficiently perform the duties involved in the safe preparation and serving of food to school students and cleaning up kitchen equipment and facilities.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepares appealing, nutritious meals to all students in accordance with National School Breakfast and Lunch programs.
- Serve food using proper portion control.
- Use proper sanitation and safety procedures in accordance with the Montgomery County Health Department.
- Ensure equipment and designated areas are kept clean
- Operate a variety of kitchen equipment properly and safely.
- Work in any area that is needed (i.e.; salad prep, sandwich prep, hot foods prep, cashier, dish room)
- Follows all policies and procedures established by the Food Service Department.
- Use good public relation techniques with students, teachers, principal, and parents.
- Cooperates with fellow workers using a teamwork approach to kitchen duties.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma/GED
- The substitute must frequently life and/or move up to 50 pounds.
