What are the responsibilities and job description for the Food Service Worker position at Food Service?
The North Reading Public Schools is seeking an experienced Food Service Worker to work at the Secondary level. North Reading Public Schools is actively looking to build a diverse workforce to ensure all students feel welcome, safe, and valued for who they are and supported to reach their potential.
This position is 22.5 hours per week from about 9:30 AM to 2:00 PM, Monday through Friday. The position comes with competitive hourly rates and benefit package including health insurance.
Essential duties
- Assist in preparation of hot and cold foods
- Serve lunch to students
- Perform daily cleaning including ware washing
- Cashiering
- Work closely with the Lead Manager, Director of Food Services, and other staff on a daily basis
Requirements
- One (1) year past experience in school cafeteria and/or food service preferred
- Hardworking and energetic
- Works well with colleagues
- Can work independently
- ServSafe certification, preferred
- High School/Trade School degree preferred
- Citizenship, residency, or work visa required
