Job Description:
6.0-6.5 hours/day (Monday - Thursday)
The Food & Nutrition Worker, under limited supervision prepares attractive and
nutritious meals and dining environment to students and district staff. Maintains the highest
possible standards of safety, efficiency and cleanliness in the kitchen. The Food & Nutrition Worker is also responsible for cleaning and sanitation of dishes & equipment, kitchen work space and serving line area and cafeteria
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities And/Or Competencies Required To Successfully Perform The Work:
Knowledge of:
• Supervises and instructs kitchen personnel in the safe, proper and
efficient use in equipment.
• Prepares food to according plan menu with tested and uniform menu.
• Knowledge of School Lunch Program.
• Knowledge of Arizona Department of Education requirements for Food
Service.
• Determines the standardized district meals for age requirements.
• Assisting with accounts payable and receivable.
• Maintain accurate production records.
• Maintain approved standards of health, sanitation & safety requirements.
• Keep accurate production records.
• Ability to complete reports in a timely fashion.
• Regional travel is required.
MUST HAVE FOOD HANDLER'S PERMIT
Ability to:
• Pass a background clearance and fingerprint check
• Some positions may require a valid Arizona Driver’s License be maintained
Education, Experience, Licensure, Certification Required For Entry Into Position:
• Experience in food preparation-required.
• Ability to operate kitchen equipment-required.
• Excellent math skills.
• Ability to read and communicate in English.
• Valid Arizona driver’s license required.
Work Basis: 9 Months
Salary : $16 - $17
