Our Press Brake Operator will be trained to:
- Consult Shop Floor Manager schedule to determine which parts to run
- Select program for Part number on Press Brake Control Panel
- Select proper tooling based on bend angles of part as shown in SolidWorks drawing
- Load tooling/set-up Press Brake
- Operate the press brake bending parts correctly per SolidWorks Drawings/part prints
- Verify part dimensions using calipers, tape measure, etc.
- Perform preventive maintenance on Press Brake
- Troubleshoot Press Brake issues
- Program Press Brake for new parts
- Follow all company safety policies & procedures
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills:
- Proficiency with calipers, tape measure, and square
- Proficiency reading part prints/drawings
- Must have a sense of urgency and maintain a good work pace
- Must be reliable
- Basic reading, writing, arithmetic, and computer skills required.
- Ability to demonstrate good judgment, professionalism and teamwork skills.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Minimum of a High School education or High School equivalency
- 1-5 years Press Brake experience, training, and/or a combination of both is preferred.
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment is helpful
Physical Demands of this job:
- The employee is regularly required to stand, use hand to finger to handle or touch, use foot/feet to operate machine.
- The employee occasionally is required to walk, sit, talk or hear.
- The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10-25 pounds.
- The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Specific vision requirements for this job are close and peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
