Position Overview:

The Data Analyst will play a key role in advancing the Foodbank’s data initiatives by providing comprehensive support in the areas of data collection, management, analysis, and research. In this position, you will partner with internal teams to develop procedures for enhanced data management, identify insightful metrics, and deliver timely reporting. You will collaborate across departments at the Foodbank and will work closely with our inventory, fundraising, and service insights systems.

As a member of the Data Intelligence team, you will also assist with researching and recommending new tools or strategies that enhance data quality and improve organizational efficiencies. Additionally, you will serve as a leader for technology implementations, providing essential training to on-site and off-site partners.

Duties and Responsibilities:

· Collaborate with internal teams to provide insightful reports that measure progress, support revenue generation, and ensure compliance with external stakeholder requirements.

· Work within multiple databases to extract relevant data, employing a range of tools to manipulate, process, and visualize significant findings.

· Support the management of Foodbank systems and databases by documenting current procedures and developing improved policies that promote data integrity.

· Assist with the roll-out of any new technologies which aim to improve data collection, quality, integration, or analysis.

· Conduct individual and group training sessions for both on-site and off-site teams, create relevant training materials, and participate in off-site events as necessary.

· Consult with internal teams to assess data-related needs and work with the Data Intelligence team to create effective solutions.

· Design and write clear, accessible reports and dashboards that deliver essential information and highlight new findings.

· Effectively communicate insights based on analysis to Foodbank staff and leadership.

· Maintain current datasets and research trends related to organizational goals, including food insecurity statistics and fundraising trends.

· Interact with external partners and vendors to support any data-related activities.

· Create and document Standard Operating Procedures related to database administration, reporting, and analytics.

· Balance multiple projects and manage competing reporting requirements.

Working Hours:

  • Full-time, non-exempt
  • Monday-Friday, with evenings and weekends as needed.

Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree in a related field.

· Advanced proficiency in Excel, with experience using additional tools to manipulate large datasets and extract insights.

· Familiarity with data visualization platforms such as Tableau or comparable software.

· Experience with enterprise resource planning solutions. Microsoft Dynamics NAV preferred.

· Experience with mapping software to visualize and communicate insights about the Foodbank’s service area.

· Background in data analytics and working with multiple databases.

· Excellent technology skills and the ability to quickly learn new systems.

· Strong attention to detail.

· Effective communication skills, with experience leading training sessions.

· Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet ongoing deadlines.

· Passion for the Foodbank’s mission and an interest in using data to advance the organization’s goals.

Compensation:

· Starting salary: $50,000
