Our client is a growing specialty ingredient manufacturer based in the Skokie, IL area Based on continued growth, they are looking to hire an Inside Sales Representative to manage smaller “house” accounts, manage product inquiries and provide administrative support to all Regional Sales Managers. This position requires at least 4 days in the corporate office and one day can be from a home office
RESPONSIBILTIES
Maintain and update customer records for data accuracy, assist in preparing sales reports and dashboards, serve as the primary contact for Salesforce-related issues, manage user accounts and permissions, support sales forecasting and pipeline management, and assist with onboarding, training, and system upgrades.
Qualify and manage incoming leads
Submit pricing and regulatory requests and send to customers
Complete required reports and forms, (i.e. weekly summaries, customer call reports, pipeline reports, sample requests, pricing requests, expense reports), accurately and in timely fashion.
Interface with marketing to generate leads, create market driven data, support trade shows.
Foster positive relationships with internal business leaders to ensure open communication between sales, engineering, quality, and customers.
Collaborate with customers, customer service, and operations to meet goals and ensure the best possible service.
Stay current with company developments and product launches.
Demonstrate a desire to own projects and exceed expectations, with the ability to find solutions and deliver results in a rapidly changing, entrepreneurial, technology-driven environment.
REQUIREMENTS
Must have some experience working within a Sales department – preferably with a food, beverage, pharmaceutical, ingredient or similar type manufacturer
Prefer experience in the food or ingredient manufacturing in a sales or sales support role.
Prefer at least an AS degree
Must have excellent interpersonal skills, ability to communicate effectively with all audience types
Must work well within a team and individually
Must have proven success working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
Must have the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Products and Salesforce
Prefer candidates with some Salesforce software experience
