FoodieLand is the leading food festival operator in the United States. Operating over 15 events with a total attendance of over 1M annually.
We are looking for a Talent Buyer to spearhead and manage talent bookings for our festivals. As a Talent Buyer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the musical landscape of our festivals. You'll be responsible for identifying, negotiating with, and booking a diverse range of artists and performers, ensuring that each festival lineup reflects our commitment to excellence and innovation. This role offers an opportunity to blend your passion for music with your knack for strategic planning and operational excellence. This is an in-office position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Initiate and maintain relationships with artists, agents, and talent managers to facilitate seamless negotiations and bookings.
- Negotiate artist contracts, ensuring favorable terms while adhering to budgetary constraints and scheduling requirements.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams, including marketing, production, and operations, to coordinate all aspects of artist performances and appearances.
- Stay informed about industry trends, market dynamics, and competitor activities to inform talent booking strategies and enhance the overall festival experience.
- Handle day-to-day administrative tasks, including contract approvals, and follow-ups.
- Implement annual business plans for events, ensuring alignment with targeted goals.
- Drive strategic brand planning initiatives to propel brand growth and achieve set objectives.
- Conduct comprehensive market analysis to identify emerging trends and capitalize on short and long-term opportunities.
- Foster and maintain strong relationships with venues, while also exploring new partnership opportunities.
- Undertake other assigned duties as needed, maintaining flexibility and adaptability.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in talent curation, promotions, or business development within the music entertainment industry.
Work Environment:
- Ability to tolerate loud environments.
- Comfortable working in diverse temperature conditions at event sites.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, and travel as required for events.
