General Merchandise Clerk (#30, Princeville)

Foodland Super Market, Hawaii's largest locally owned grocery retailer is hiring for General Merchandise (GM) Clerks to join our team!

This is an hourly position and we offer a comprehensive benefits package (specifics vary based on position and classification).

General Merchandise Clerks are responsible for but not limited to the below:

• to make sure the general merchandise section of the store is well-stocked for our customers.
• General merchandise products include but are not limited to, health and beauty products, over-the-counter medicines, candy, magazines, tourist items, and seasonal merchandise.
• They order, receive, store, and stock products while ensuring proper inventory control, product rotation and quality.
• They create and build product displays, ensure proper fronting of products, and handle product damages and credits according to company policy.
• General merchandise clerks must be familiar with store products and their locations in order to assist customers in locating items.
• In addition, they must be able to perform all duties of a cashier as needed

Qualifications and requirements:

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• High school education preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Must be able to frequently lift, maneuver, and/or carry up to 50 pounds at, above and below waist level
• Must pass written, multiple choice math test
• Must have TB Clearance
• Must comply with all company policies and requirements
