We are seeking a highly motivated, customer service driven individual to join our team as Natural Supervisor. As natural supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing execution, merchandising, quality, and financial performance of the Natural department in all Foodland stores. This position requires understanding of – and passion for - natural and organic products. You will work with the director of natural to ensure the department’s overall vision and strategy is brought to life and executed in alignment with company expectations.
Essential Duties:
- Execute strategies and programs to drive sales and profitability for the natural department.
- Work with stores to ensure company merchandising plans, programs, standards and initiatives are consistently followed.
- Assist with the updating and maintenance of all natural sets.
- Assist with managing inventory levels to ensure availability and minimize shrink.
- Conduct regular, weekly store visits on Oahu and Neighbor Islands.
- Train and direct store personnel to follow department and company programs and initiatives.
- Review and analyze weekly reports to identify opportunities and make recommendations.
- Complete store visit recaps and other reporting accurately and on time.
- Act as a liaison between the sales department, department director, district manager and stores.
- Build, develop, and maintain effective and productive working relationships with store and main office support teams

Education/Experience:
- 3-5 years of proven experience in a supervisory or leadership role in the grocery retail industry
- Minimum 1-2 years' experience working in the area of natural/organic foods
- College degree preferred; High School degree required
Working Environment:
- This position involves travelingto store locations and/or neighbor islands, sometimes for several days at a time.
- Requires ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays to accommodate the needs of the business.
- Some work is conducted in an office environment, but most work will be conducted in stores.
Mental Demands:
- Ability to analyze reports, interpret findings, and effectively problem-solve based on data.
- Ability to remember processes, procedures, and information.
- Will be required to learn new tasks, adapt to change, and stay updated with industry trends.
- Quick decision-making ability, at times with minimal information available.
- Must be able to maintain focus during tasks, especially when dealing with intricate details or repetitive work.
- Ability to read reports, emails, or other written materials and write and create documents
- Will be required to speak publicly to present information to various audiences including hourly employees, managers, vendors, and senior leaders.
Physical Demands:
- Frequently sits, performs desk-based computer tasks, and stands and/or walks for long periods in stores.
- Occasional lifting, and/or carrying, pushing, and/or pulling merchandise that weighs up to 25 pounds.
